As industrial parks deepen their digital transformation, a key challenge is how to connect information scattered across spaces, facilities and operations so that data can truly serve daily management.
Akila is currently carrying out a digital deployment at NXpark Wuxi, located in the Sino-French (Wuxi) Industrial Cooperation Park. Based on the park’s actual operational needs, the project will connect existing building systems, facility information and operational processes in phases, building a unified digital operating environment that offers more intuitive and consistent information support for facility maintenance and daily management.
From fragmented information to a unified park operations view
Industrial parks cover a wide range of building spaces, equipment, facilities and service scenarios, and relevant information often comes from different systems. Fragmented information not only raises the cost of searching and communication, but also makes it difficult for operations teams to form a complete and unified understanding of the park.
At the current stage, Akila is helping NXpark Wuxi gather and organize verified information from connected spaces, facilities and systems, gradually creating a unified data foundation. The operations team can view relevant information in the same digital environment and gain a more centralized understanding of the park’s spaces, facilities and operations, laying the groundwork for future information use and cross-team collaboration.
Through its digital twin view, Akila further links the park’s physical spaces with related facility information, giving authorized users an intuitive digital entry point. Information that was previously scattered can be associated with the corresponding spaces and facilities, helping teams reduce the need to search repeatedly across different documents and systems and understand the park as a whole more clearly.
The digital twin shows more than the park’s physical spaces. It also reveals the connections between spaces, facilities and operational information. Moving from “seeing the park” to “understanding the park,” this more intuitive information environment provides a clear foundation for daily operations.
Bringing digital capabilities into daily operations
Building on the unified data and digital twin environment, the project also advances digitalization in facility maintenance, equipment information management and selected park service processes.
By connecting relevant information and workflows step by step, Akila helps the park establish clearer operational records and lines of responsibility, providing a digital foundation for daily work such as alert tracking, task management, inspections and maintenance. Modules for work orders, equipment records, cleaning inspections and security inspections are also being built or deployed.
When an issue needs attention, on-site teams can collaborate based on more centralized and consistent information. From task creation and assignment to handling and documentation, the process can gradually form a clear closed loop, reducing fragmentation between different information sources and building a reliable information foundation for continuous operational improvement.
System connections and functional configurations will be rolled out in phases according to actual operational needs, technical conditions and on-site validation, ensuring that digital development matches real park operations.
Digital management is about connection
Digital park management is not simply about putting multiple systems on one platform. More importantly, it is about connecting spaces, assets, system information and operational processes so that information can be understood, used and turned into practical value for daily operations and team collaboration.
NXpark Wuxi reflects how Akila puts this concept into practice. By progressively connecting physical spaces, facility information and operational processes, Akila is supporting the park’s move toward a more connected, visible and information-based operating model.
Looking ahead, Akila will continue to focus on real building and park operations, using digital technology to respond to actual needs and helping more parks create clear, connected and efficient digital operating environments.
